Grilled Pork Roast
Description:
This grilled pork roast is a juicy, flavorful cut of pork that's been marinated and slow-cooked over an open flame to achieve a smoky crust and tender interior. Perfectly charred on the outside, and succulent within, it offers a delicious balance of bold spices and natural pork richness.
Ingredients:
-
2 lbs pork shoulder or pork loin
-
4 cloves garlic (minced)
-
1 tablespoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon cumin
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
Juice of 2 oranges
-
Juice of 1 lime
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation:
-
Marinate: In a bowl, mix minced garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, citrus juices, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture over the pork and let it marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
-
Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the pork for about 25–30 minutes, turning occasionally to sear all sides until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
-
Rest: Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows juices to redistribute for maximum flavor and tenderness.
Serving suggestion:
Serve sliced over a wooden platter with optional drizzles of citrus glaze or chimichurri. This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables, white rice, or fried plantains.
